1 Create your personal API key
- In your SPIP site's private area (
/ecrire): menu Publication → MCP API keys. - Give it a label (e.g. “ClaudeAI” or “ChatGPT”), then Create an API key.
- Copy the key immediately: it is only displayed once.
The API key is your identity: keep it secret and revoke it on that same page if it is compromised. Create one per device or application.
2 Enter the connector address
The same for Claude and ChatGPT:
https://mcp-spip.kimoun.com/mcp
On your own connector, replace it with your dedicated server's address.
3 Set it up in your AI
Claude claude.ai
- Menu Settings → Connectors.
- Add a custom connector.
- URL: paste the address above. Leave “Client ID/Secret” empty.
- The “Authorise access to SPIP” page opens: paste your API key, then Authorise.
- In a new conversation, enable the connector. Try: “list the sections of my site”.
ChatGPT Plus / Pro / Team
- Settings → Connectors (or developer mode depending on your plan).
- Add / Create a connector, type MCP.
- Server URL: paste the address above.
- OAuth authentication: paste your API key on the authorisation page.
- Enable the connector in a conversation to drive the site.
Authentication via OAuth: your key is only ever entered on the secure authorisation page hosted by the server — never in a technical field.
